Introducing the Parallel Collection by Karsyn
For so long I've been dreaming of establishing a diverse collection by taking vintage clothes, altering them and essentially reincarnating them into completely different pieces.
I've definitely battled myself on whether or not it was worth the time and the risk to find garments with potential and spend the time to rework them into a little self-contained masterpiece. I was dealt a very helpful word of advice to think like a BlissBranch customer, and as a customer, I want one thing: to have something entirely unique, one-of-a-kind, and exclusively my own!
With the Parallel Collection, I'm focusing a lot on reworking quality vintage denim in a variety of styles and sizes, but honestly, I'm a sucker for anything boyfriend -style or high-waisted.
Distressing these pieces is the most meticulous yet entertaining portion of the creation process with Parallel reworked denim. I definitely have been known to rip a hole as big as a buttcheek, laugh until I snorted and scratch the entire project.
The treatments we use are so fun and surprising! This was a vintage black Eddie Bauer menswear top, and it came out this amazing amber-y marble pattern!
Menswear has absolutely got to be my weakness. Who doesn't think a woman looks the perfect equilibrium of chic, sophisticated, and comfortable in an oversized button-up? It's a timeless look!
