Hey, everyone! Some of you may have noticed that we've moved......AGAIN.
If you've been following our journey since we moved to Nashville from Tyler, TX late last August, you've seen our transition from living in my SOL's basement, to our fixer-upper East Nashville rental, back to our SOL's home, to our new home.
Confused? Questions? I would be shocked if you didn't have any! Some of you have speculated finding a different home for a possible baby on board, or maybe you just liked indulging in the mystery. Either way, it was a random and (seemingly) unfortunate series of events which wound up being a blessing in disguise!
If you've been following me on Snapchat at all, you've probably seen all of the funny and dramatic behind-the-scenes insight on our move from the moment everything began. Around the beginning of March, I discovered a pretty severe case of mold in our East Nashville home and found that our upstairs bathroom floor was completely rotten. To make a long (and very bizarre) story short and simple, we tried without success to communicate with our landlord, who eventually responded when we mentioned taking legal action. We were forced to vacate within three days (over Easter weekend and in the rain ugh) and find the first rental we could (and the cheapest thing we could find was still $400 more than our then home). We started working with a badass lawyer who advised everything after we were forced to vacate (which he deemed unlawful).
The new home we found we signed on before viewing. EEEEP!
I know, absolutely nuts, but we had limited options. We had three weeks before our new home was move-in-ready, so we temporarily moved all of our belonging from our old home into my SOL's living room while they were out on tour. We lived there for a very fun and special three weeks, and moved into our new home last Friday.
And you wanna talk about a workout?! Moving burns some serious cals! I think my quads are still feeling those furniture and box squats.
Though we are still riddling out our next legal steps with our previous leasing office, we are now in a home two doors down from my husband's sister and her family, and we have two bathtubs, so despite the hellish month we've endured, I'm happy. ;)
I know I feel like I've said it with every home we've lived in, but I really want to buy this home! Our new office mentioned it was an option for us, and we're thrilled. Until our one year lease is up next May, we cannot physically alter the property. Yipes! You know what that means?! Tons of fun tips coming to you soon!
So far, we have a very special collab lined up with MuralsYourWay for some removable peel-and-stick wallpaper for the dining room, which will really make the space. I'm not hating the greige walls on the rest of the home, but I am despising the cork flooring I have to look at everyday.
Now for the fun! Here's some UNglamorous snaps of our home as it is in this moment. In addition to the rooms shown, we have a spare room (acting as a sh** room right now), two full baths, and a laundry room. Sorry they aren't more impressive! Below those pics are some inspiration shots I've pinned from Pinterest! :)
